Disconnecting all bank transactions from my quick books

I've got your back, @anweld. Thanks for posting your concern about deleting old recorded entries in QuickBooks Online. Let me provide share the steps to achieve this seamlessly.

If you're referring to deleting your bank transactions from 10 years ago, I have two options to help you achieve this quickly.

The first option is to delete them from your account register one at a time. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Chart of accounts.
  2. Locate the account that has your transactions and click View register.
  3. Tap the Filter icon, then choose the correct transaction date to find them easily.
  4. Find the transaction and select it to expand the view.
  5. Tap the Delete button and agree with the prompt message to proceed.

The second option can apply to you if you're utilizing the online banking feature of QBO. Follow the steps below to do it:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu and choose the Bank transactions tab.
  2. Select your bank account, then go to the Categorized tab.
  3. Filter the dates, select all the transactions you want to delete, and click Undo.
  4. This will move the transactions to the For Review tab from the Categorized tab.
  5. Select all the transactions you want to exclude from the For Review tab.
  6. Click the Exclude button.

Lastly, you can follow the steps below if you want to delete them permanently:

  1. Go to the Excluded tab.
  2. Select all the transactions you want to delete.
  3. Click the Delete button.

Please keep in mind that if you exclude a downloaded transaction in QuickBooks, it won't appear in the bank feed again. But if you delete it instead, the system will recognize it as unaccounted for and download it again from the bank. You may find this article handy to learn more about excluding downloaded transactions in QBO.
