Discontinue QuickBooks Self Employed

Hello there, patrickwalsh1.

I'm here to help you cancel your QuickBooks Online accounts.

Before we start, make sure to sign into your account as the Master Administrator or Company Administrator to gain access on the Cancel option. Your data will also be on read-only access for one year and then gets deleted.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QBSE account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon beside the help icon.
  3. Select Billing Info, then Cancel subscription. If you change your mind, you can select Keep your subscription.

If it's a free trial, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Sign in to your QBSE account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon beside the help icon.
  3. Under the about you section, select Cancel Trial.

For more insights about canceling subscription, I'm adding the article I recommend on this: Cancel your QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription.

You are always welcome to visit us again if you need help with something else. Have a good one.

Thanks for the detailed instructions.  Trouble is, the selections you instructed me to make weren't there.  I tried every available option and nothing gave any option to stop the Trial, or cancel a subscription.  I have 28 days left on the Trial, my client data isn't anywhere to be found so I can't prepare my invoices, the Help options go nowhere, and I'm just stuck in a wretched platform that I can't use, and I locked out of the platform I'm paying for.  QBSE has me screwed!!!

We'll get this working, patrickwalsh1.

Cache is a component that boosts browser's background processes. However, it can also cause issues when piled up. Here's how we can get rid of any cache-related issues in QBSE:

  1. Open a private browser and log in to your account. Private browsers use but don't store cache.
  2. If you can cancel your trial subscription successfully, we can go back to your regular browser and clear the cache.
  3. You can also use other supported browsers. Each of them uses different cache.

If the same thing happens, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. They can review your account and provide additional troubleshooting steps to fix it. You can use this link for reference: Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support.

We'll be right here if you have further questions.
