Error Connecting Chase Credit Card

All was good until Jan 6, then got error. "Your last online connection was not completed.  QuickBooks is having a problem recovering from this condition.  Please contact technical support for online banking. " So I did that. Through callback. And got disconnected after verifying who I was for most of 12 minutes. So I requested callback again. And got told that I was not entitled to personal help and to read the link which would be emailed to me. For which I am still waiting. Meanwhile, contacted Chase. All is good to go from their end. QuickBooks Desktop is authorized to connect. Meanwhile, I can't deactivate QBD Chase credit card online services until the connection is completed. Catch 22. Anyone run into this and figure out a fix ?

Error Connecting Chase Credit Card

Hi there, @JackE1.

Thank you for choosing the Community to assist you and provide more details about the error you're getting when connecting the Chase Credit Card to QuickBooks. Allow me to help share some troubleshooting steps to get this straightened out.

The following factors could have triggered the error on your QuickBooks bank feeds:

  • There could be a message regarding a change of servers, maintenance updates, or added security features, that need to be acknowledged on the bank's website.
  • A discontinued version of Windows or QuickBooks Desktop.
  • A problem with your Internet connection.
  • A problem with one or more accounts in your company file.
  • A problem with the download or import format.
  • There was a connection interruption in the last online banking session.

Before trying the steps below, please make sure to create a back up of your company file to avoid data loss. Once done, please refer to the solutions outlined in this article to get this resolved: Error OL-200, OL-202, OL-206, or OL-226: Your last online connection was not completed.

If you get the same result, I recommend following additional steps found in this article: Fix OL and OLSU Bank Feeds errors in QuickBooks Desktop.

This information should help you to connect to your bank account and download your transactions into QuickBooks. Feel free to let me know how it goes or if I can be of further help. Just drop a comment below, and I'll be delighted to be your guide once again. Have a great day ahead.

Error Connecting Chase Credit Card

Hello there, Bsullivan13.

I can help you fix the OL-393 banking error you're receiving when updating your Chase bank account.

There can be a connection issue between QuickBooks and your bank. We can refresh the connection so we can get back on track in managing your online banking. Before we start troubleshooting, let's be sure to back up your company file. Then, you can start by creating a sample company to check if the error is caused by a problem with your bank or something in QuickBooks.

  1. From the File menu, select New Company.
  2. Select Express Start or Start Setup.
  3. In the Setup window, enter all required info, select Create Company and then select Start Working.
  4. Go to the bank feeds to verify the error.

If you get the same error, it means that there’s a problem with the connection from your bank. We can turn off your Bank Feeds and turn it back on again to refresh your online banking connection. Since QuickBooks will not allow you to disconnect bank feeds if there are pending transactions, let's make sure you match or delete all of the downloaded transactions for the Chase account.

Here's how to disconnect bank feeds:

  1. Go to Lists and then Chart of Accounts.
  2. Right-click the account you want to deactivate. Then, select Edit Account.
  3. Go to the Bank Settings tab.
  4. Select Deactivate all online services and then OK to confirm.
  5. Click Save & Close.

Close all the windows and then follow the steps on this link on how to turn on bank feeds: Set up bank accounts for Bank Feeds in QuickBooks Desktop.

If the error persists, you can proceed and follow step 3 on this link that will help you reset all connected bank accounts: Reset all online banking connections.

Please let me know how it goes after performing these steps. I want to make sure your concern is taken care of. Take care always!

Error Connecting Chase Credit Card

Sorry for this issue falling under the wrong title.  This is with the desktop version Pro2020.

However, the connection has been working for the past year and has now stopped.  Chase had us try the disconnecting the bank feeds, but it would not let us.  Received another error that you can't disconnect in the middle of processing.

Chase came back with it is problem with their server connection, which is what they told us last week, and they have no idea when it might be fixed.
