Error message when trying to import QBO

Because of the updating browser issues, I can't use bank feeds to download transactions and am trying to import a QBO file. Unfortunately, I'm getting this error message "Quickbooks is unable to verify the financial institution information for this download. Please try again later."

Not sure what to try next as the solutions I've seen on this forum don't appear to work for me.

Ideas?

thx

Error message when trying to import QBO

Thanks for reaching out to the Community about your concern, Gr8scott.

I recognize how important it is to be able to seamlessly import bank transactions. I also appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue.

Before performing any troubleshooting, may I know the steps you’ve performed? This way, I can l provide a timely solution. While waiting, let me share some information about what causes this error.

  • The files from the bank are incomplete or in the wrong format.
  • Updates on the financial institution can also create issues.

When you’re ready, create a backup of the company file first to prevent accidental loss. Then, update Internet Explorer to the latest version. If you encounter any issues, let me know the specific error so I can look into this further.

Next, log in to your financial institution and download the Web Connect file. Open the company file and import the transactions.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Banking menu to select Bank Feeds and Import Web Connect Files.
  2. Choose the QBO file and then click Open.
  3. When prompted to Select Bank Account, pick the appropriate option.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

If you continue to get the same error, perform Steps 2-5 in the following guide: Fix Web Connect import errors.

For additional resources, this article provides information on how to review the log files and instructions to fix bank errors: Collect Bank Feeds log files.
