Help - how can we get them to update our bank's new website info so we can re-link our accounts? My bank is now www.first.bank (the url USED to be www.firstbanks.com)

You'll have to request support for your bank's new website in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @info1274. This way, it'll be added on the list of available banks connected to the system and you'll be able to re-link your accounts.

When a certain bank is updating its website, you need to add it to QBO. As I've checked, the First Bank's new website isn't yet added on the list o supported banks. With this, you'll have to use the Request support for your bank option in the Banking menu. This will notify our banking engineers about the new website and update it in the system. Let me guide you how.

  1. Go to the Banking or Transactions menu.
  2. Select Add account.
  3. In the Connect an account page, enter the First Bank's new website (www.first.bank or http://www.first.bank.com).
  4. You'll get the message, "Hmm, we can’t find [name of the bank you entered] in our list of supported banks," and you will be presented with helpful tips to try and locate your bank account.
  5. Click the Request support for your bank button.
  6. Enter all the necessary details.
  7. Select Request.

I've attached screenshots below that show the last five steps.

Once your accounts are re-linked, all you have to do is to review, categorized, and/or match your transactions with the existing entries in QBO. For the step-by-step guide, kindly refer to this article: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online. It also contains information about excluding personal or duplicate transactions.

Additionally, I'd recommend reconciling your accounts every month. This is to monitor the growth of your business and detect any possible errors. To learn more about this, you can check out this article: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online. It also includes details about editing completed reconciliations.

Please let me know if you have other concerns. I'm just around to help. Take care always.

How often does Intuit actually go in and view these requests and update their list of supported banks?

Having your Financial Institution in QuickBooks is our priority, @AllEquipRental.

I'll share some details about requesting a bank in QuickBooks Online.

There's no specific timeframe on when our back-end team can review the banking request and implement it in QuickBooks. That depends on the number of users who voted for the said feature request. That being said, first-come, first-served.

You will have the opportunity to contact our Customer Service Team. They may have option to review the status of your bank request.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu, then click Contact Us.
  2. Type your concern in the box and tap Let's talk.
  3. Choose either Get a call or Start a chat.
  4. Complete the required data and submit the request.

Make sure to contact them within business hours to ensure a swift response.

Once your financial institution is listed as a supported bank, you can visit this link to guide on how to link them in QuickBooks: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.
