Help- I logged on to complete my 2019 Taxes and every single transaction from the previous 2 years are gone. What happened?

Hello there, ee39668f8a9f,

I'm here to help restore your transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

There are two possible reasons why those previous 2 years entries are gone:

  • Your bank account is hidden - Hiding a bank account keeps all the data in QuickBooks and cuts down the clutter. It won't show up until you make it active again.
  • Your bank account is deleted - Deleting a bank account will completely remove data.

If you hide it, the following steps below will guide you through showing it in QuickBooks.

  1. Got to Settings ⚙ and then Bank Accounts.
  2. Find the account you want to hide.
  3. In the Show Account section, select the toggle to ON.

Performing the steps above will help you see your older transactions. Once done, you can start sending your tax info to TurboTax.

If the account was deleted, you'll want to reconnect it so you can download transactions. This will help bring in your entries and complete your 2019 taxes.

You can also refer to the Delete a bank account for more details about the missing entries in QBSE.

If none of the solutions is unable to restore your transactions, I highly suggest contacting our QuickBooks Self-Employed Support Team. They can pull up your account in a secure environment and restore your transactions.

Let me know how everything goes by clicking the Reply button. I'm always around to help ensure your success.

Thank you and stay safe!
