Re: Home Depot manually uploaded transactions appear as credits. How do I change them to charges

Welcome to the Community, DecaturInvestor.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) is dependent on the information that your financial institution shares with us. We don't have control when it comes to the bank description or the check number of the transactions.

I'm here to help you handle them in QBO. First, exclude the transactions that don't have a check number or incorrect description. Then, manually export them from your bank and upload it into QBO.

Here's how to exclude:

  1. Click Banking in the left pane.
  2. In the For Review section, find the transactions and select the check-boxes beside them.
  3. At the top of the list, click Batch actions and select Exclude selected.

Then, go ahead and sign in to your bank's website and follow the online process of downloading transactions.

Once you're ready, then let's upload the file to your company. Here's how:

  1. Go to Banking on the left pane.
  2. Choose Banking at the top then click File Upload. If you’ve never connected an account, select Upload transactions manually at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Click Browse and choose the file you saved in Step 1.
  4. Hit Next.
  5. From the QuickBooks account drop-down, select the account you want to upload the bank data and then click Next.
  6. If you're uploading a CSV file, you're prompted to select columns from the CSV file that match QuickBooks Online banking fields. Then, tick Next when you're done.
  7. Select Let's go! or Finish depending on what you see.

Once done, it’s time to go to the Banking menu to match and categorize the transactions.

I'll be here if you need additional support about bank connection in QuickBooks Online or if you need anything else. Have a great day.
