How can I get my bank records to download?

QuickBooks Online offers two ways in bringing in your bank transactions, mitchellid.

We can either connect your bank and credit card accounts to automatically download your recent transactions or manually upload your bank transactions. Online Banking is one of the time-saving features of QBO that automatically downloads and categorizes your bank transactions for you.

Please know that the program will only download the last 90 days (or more depends on your bank) of transactions from your bank. If you need to get older transactions from your bank, or if your bank doesn’t connect to QuickBooks, we can upload them manually.

You can refer to the steps below in connecting your bank:

  1. Select Banking from the sidebar menu.
  2. Click Connect Account or Add account if you've already created an account.
  3. Enter the name of your bank in the search bar.
  4. Click Continue, then enter the username and password you use for your bank's website in the pop-up window.
  5. Select the accounts you want to connect (savings, checking, or credit card).
  6. For each account, select the account type from the drop-down menu.
  7. Set the date range for the download.
  8. Select Connect.

If don't want to use the Online Banking feature (also known as Bank Feeds), we can manually upload your bank transactions to your QBO account. You can refer to this link to be guided in doing it: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Once uploaded, we can now start matching and categorizing your bank transactions.

Reach out to us again if you need additional assistance in managing your bank transactions. It's always our pleasure to help.
