Re: How can I get QB to sync with my Chase bank account?

Hi Jess

Essentially setup as one account on the COA for each credit card account (but all user cards to be linked to this one credit card acount).  For chase (unlike bank of america) there is just a primary card holder and then authorized users.  (for example primary card 1, then 2 authorized user cards).

Thank you

Re: How can I get QB to sync with my Chase bank account?

Hello again, tayd.

Thanks for the details. I’m here to provide additional information about connecting credit cards with multiple accounts.

To ensure you can link them seamlessly, we’ll have to know how your bank sends the downloaded transactions. This information will guide us on how to connect your credit cards to QBO.

Once you have the information handy, make sure to create the parent account in QBO first. Let me walk you through the steps.

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top, then choose Chart of Accounts.
  2. Select New.
  3. In the Account Type drop-down, choose the account.
  4. In the Detail Type drop-down, select the category.
  5. Enter a name in the Name field.
  6. Fill in the necessary fields.
  7. Click on Save and Close.

To enter a sub-account, follow the steps above and make sure to mark the box for Is sub-account. Then, select the parent account.

Now, you can start linking the credit cards. For detailed instructions follow the steps in the About bank or credit card sub-account setup article.

That'll do it. You should now be able to link the credit cards smoothly.

If you have additional questions about online banking, let me know by posting a comment below.  I’ll be around to help. Have a great rest of your day.
