How can i remove my bank accounts and start over

Let me help you remove your bank account in QuickBooks, @brian89.

 

If your bank account is connected to online banking, then we need to unlink it first to delete it. Let's simply follow these steps below:

  1. Go to the Banking menu and select Banking.
  2. Click the Pencil on the top right of the Account.
  3. Select Edit Account Info.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and tick the Disconnect this Account on Save box.
  5. Select Save and Close.

 

Then, you can now delete it. Here's how:

  1. Click Accounting, then go to Chart of Accounts.
  2. Look for the account.
  3. Click the View register drop-down arrow, then choose Delete.
  4. You'll receive a message, "Are you sure you want to delete this?", click Yes.

 

Please remember that QuickBooks will automatically create an adjustment if this bank account has transactions.

 

Once done, you can now start over and connect your bank to QuickBooks Online. Simply follow the steps provided in this article: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

 

You can also categorize your transactions after your accounts are connected. This way, it would be easy for you to review your download bank transactions.
