How can I split a credit card transaction over 2 properties?

Hi dspertner,

If you're trying to match a transaction to multiple entries, here's how to do it:

  1. Select Banking.
  2. In the For Review tab, select the credit card transaction.
  3. Click on Find match.
  4. Select All and change the date range.
  5. QuickBooks will show up all possible entries that match with this transaction.
  6. Select the entries and click on Save.

Otherwise, you can add a credit card transaction with split categories. Here's how:

  1. In the For Review tab, select the transaction.
  2. Click on Split (beside the Add button).
  3. Choose the categories.
  4. Click on Save and add.

How can I split a credit card transaction over 2 properties?

I am having problems with it saving.  I added 17 split transactions to my credit card payment but it won't save.  The bottom says 0.00 difference and all the amounts are in there but it won't save.  What am I doing wrong?

I did exactly that but the save and add green button is faint and won't let me click on it.

Thank you for following the steps above, krmartin100.

Missing payee name or expense account can be the reason the Save and add button is grayed out. Let's make sure that everything is filled out.

Please see this sample Split Transaction:

If the button is still unavailable, let's log out from your QuickBooks Online account and log back in. By doing this, the system reloads the data that didn't process due to some browser-related issue. Then, go to the Banking page, select the transaction, and click on Split

Otherwise, please use the Master Admin's login credentials when accepting bank transactions. System restricts a user when the access rights doesn't include managing bank transactions.

We'll be glad to answer any questions. Please go ahead and post them here.
