Nice to have you in the Community space, @cherokeedoorllc.

I can share some information about moving your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) data to QuickBooks Online (QBO)

You can upgrade your QBSE account to QBO to easily move your data. Before doing so, you'll want to check our Plans & Pricing page and see what version of QBO suits your business.

On the other hand, some data in QBSE can't be transferred through auto-upgrade. To ensure a smooth process, I'd recommend contacting our Support team. They have the tools to look into your account and check its compatibility.

If it's not, you'll have to move it manually. Rest assured, I'm here to guide you how.

  1. Log into your QBSE account.
  2. Select Transactions menu.
  3. Customize the date range of your transactions if necessary
  4. Click the Download icon.
  5. Name and save the CSV file in your computer desktop.

To upload the data to your QBO.

  1. Log in to your account and hover to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Import Data then click Bank Data.
  3. In the Get your info from your bank section, select Browse.
  4. Find and select the CSV file you downloaded, select Open. Then select Next.
  5. From the QuickBooks Account drop-down menu, select the account you want to move the transactions into then click Next.
  6. If you don't have any accounts yet, here's how to create new ones.
  7. Match the statement fields from the CSV with the ones in QuickBooks Online, then select Next.
  8. Select the transactions you want to move, then click Next.
  9. Click Yes, then select Let’s go.
