I can help you on how to accept all bank transactions under Business type, naisanza.

If you import the transactions manually, you'll need to categorize per transaction under Business type. However, if you connected your bank account to QBSE, you can use a rule to accept automatically all new transactions from your bank as Business.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon on the top menu.
  2. Choose Rules.
  3. Click Create Rule.
  4. Enter the Description.
  5. Choose your bank in the Account drop-down.
  6. Choose Business in the Type drop-down.
  7. Check the box for Also apply to past transactions to apply it forward and backward.
  8. Click Save.

For more details about using rules, you can check out the Use rules to speed up reviewing and categorizing transactions article.

I have a link here that contains articles about managing your banking transactions: https://community.intuit.com/browse/quickbooks-self-employed-banking-and-transactions.

Hello there, naisanza.

Yes, you can create a rule using an asterisk. Just enter it in the Description field when creating a rule and place a checkmark for Match exactly.
