Join nowEvery year or two, there's a problem with the Quickbooks/BoA download. Sometimes it's an issue of a few hours. Sometimes, like this one, it's days. I'm not the world's most sophisticated QB or IT user, but I normally know how to find my way around a support site and/or a company contact page. I'm constantly stumped on how to report this issue to QB and just be sure they are working on it. Or to learn that they've determined it's a BoA issue and I need to go there.
Feature suggestion: A button, just a button, to click "Notify QB of Problems With Your Bank Feed" to ensure QB was getting info and knew who to notify when fixed.
Meanwhile, looking for suggestions on how to report and resolve this issue. Because I could download the transactions, but I chose QB and BoA precisely so I wouldn't have to do things manually.
I appreciate your time reaching out to us here, and for sharing a suggestion, Doughouseva.

Thanks. For the past two weeks, repeated "400" failures to connect and download transactions from BoA via the update function. Sometimes it works later in the day. Sometimes it fails for 2-3 days in row despite repeated attempts. All settings correct and verified - again, it works sometimes, not others. Error message:
We can’t get transactions from Bank of America
We’re working with your bank to get it fixed. Come back in a few hours and select Update (400).
Thanks for explaining your concern in such a great detail, Doughouseva.
The error message that you've encountered means that the server's connection is interrupted. Let's perform basic troubleshooting steps to resolve this.
To start, let's log in to your account via a private browser. This could be a browser-related issue. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:
Once signed in, let's do a manual download. I'd suggest following the steps below.
If you're able to download the transactions, let's clear the browser's cache. This improves the performance of the program. You can also use supported browsers. They'll provide you the best and most secure experience with QuickBooks.
If the error persists, check out this article for other troubleshooting steps: What To Do if You Get a Bank Error or Can't Download Transactions.
Aside from manually updating, you can also manually upload bank transactions.
Once the transactions are downloaded, you can categorize them in QuickBooks. This ensures your books are accurate.
I suggest getting back to this thread if you have other banking concerns. We're always here to help you.
