How do I convert self employed to simple start?

You need to change your billing from PlayStore/AppStore to Intuit. Chat Support to do so. Then open a new blank QBO account on your computer.

How do I convert self employed to simple start?

Hello, cory21.

I'm glad to provide some information on migrating data from QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

There isn't a direct way to convert the data from QBSE into QBO using our mobile app. You'll have to log in to your account using a browser. Then, check if you can automatically move your data. I'll show you how.

Step 1: Save your financial report.

  1. Log in to QuickBooks Self-Employed.
  2. Go to the Reports menu.
  3. In the Tax details section, select a tax year.
  4. Select Download to get a Tax Details report.
  5. Download a report for each tax year you have in QuickBooks.

Step 2: Move your data to QuickBooks Online.

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then Billing info.
  2. If you see the Explore QuickBooks Online plans, select it to start the upgrade.
  3. Click Switch plan or Choose plan for the QuickBooks Online plan you want.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps.
  5. Select Bring my data if you want to choose which data you move over. If you don't want to move any data and start fresh, Hit Start fresh.
  6. When you're ready to move your data to QuickBooks Online, click To QuickBooks Online. If you see a billing info review screen, select Change plan to start.

If you're unable to see the Explore QuickBooks option, you can manually import your QuickBooks Self-Employed data into QuickBooks Online. Check out this article and click the link If you don't see the Explore QuickBooks option to see the complete details: Switch from QuickBooks Self-Employed to QuickBooks Online

I've also added this resource in case you want to cancel your QuickBooks Self-Employed account once you're done moving your data for future reference: Cancel your QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription.

If you need additional help with managing your data, feel free to reach out to me. I'm always here to provide further assistance. Have a good one!
