When I linked a bank account to QBO, transactions were download back  to mid December 2023 although there are many transfers before that date.  How do I link the remaining transactions to QBO?

How do i download historical records on a linked bank accountr

Thank you for reaching out to the Community, @Gary. Let's upload those older transactions to QuickBooks Online.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) is designed to automatically download transactions up to a certain date when you link a bank account. 90 days is the industry standard. To get the older ones, you'll need to upload them manually.

I can provide you with the step-by-step process to manually upload those older historical transactions into your QBO account. Here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions, then Bank transactions.
  2. Choose the blue tile corresponding to the account where you want to upload the file.
  3. Click on the Link account dropdown.
  4. Hit the Upload from file.
  5. Select Drag and drop or select files and select the file you downloaded from your bank. Then click Continue.
  6. Follow the onscreen steps.
  7. Choose the transactions you want to import.
  8. After reviewing your transactions, click on Done to complete the process.

Additionally, I'll include this article about reconciling your transactions to ensure your books are accurate: Reconcile transactions that are older than your opening balance in QuickBooks Online.

If you have further questions about uploading transactions, you can comment below, and we'll be here to help you any time.

Another option, you can use MT Online or one of the converter tools with a one time license (e.g csv2qbo @ $60) as a workaround.
