How do I edit bank account info

I'd be glad to help you out with your concern about editing bank account information by sharing possible scenarios I could think of.


Are you trying to change your bank account information connected to QuickBooks Online (QBO)? If so, you can go to the Banking page and update your bank info from there.


Here's how:


  1. Click Banking from the left menu.
  2. Select the appropriate bank account from the list.
  3. Click the pencil icon to edit, then select Edit account info.
  4. Enter your updated bank info and click Save and connect.

After saving, QBO will try to connect with your bank to verify your information. Once you see a confirmation message, select I'm done, Let's go!

However, if you're trying to change your bank information on your payroll account, you can go to the Payroll Settings. Let me guide you how.


  1. Click the Gear icon, then select Payroll Settings.
  2. Select Company under Bank Accounts.
  3. In the Connect your Bank account page, select Update.
  4. Select Connect using your routing and account numbers to enter new bank account information.
  5. Enter your new bank account information, then select Submit.
  6. Review the info about verifying your bank account, and select OK, got it.

After making the changes, update your bank account in the accounting preferences.
