Welcome to QuickBooks Community, @lisa164.
I have some information with regards to matching your payroll transactions in QuickBooks Online Payroll.
Since the payment date in your unemployment taxes is incorrect, we can still and recreate it so you can match it to your actual bank statement date.
To delete the payment, let's follow these steps:
After deleting the payment, you can now manually record it. Then, match it to your downloaded transaction in QuickBooks.
Once the tax payment is cleared in your bank register, you can now reconcile it.
If you cannot delete the payment, contact our Payroll Support Team for assistance. They can help you in matching your transactions in QuickBooks.
Please let me know in the comment section if you need additional help in completing your task with QBO. I'll be happy to assist.

Hello! I am actually having a similar problem, but with Payroll taxes. I am trying to reconcile one of my bank accounts, and while my bank statement is showing I paid this specific state tax on the last day of the month, QB recorded the payment date as the first day of the following month (I am unable to reconcile as a result). With the current version of QBO am I able to change the payment date of this payment that was already made? I tried to follow these instructions but found that there was no way to "delete" the payment and add another one with the correct date. Thank you for your help.
Thanks for joining us here, @Gia W.
I'll guide you on how to correct the payment date. Since you have the new payroll interface on your account, I recommend contacting our Payroll Support. They have the tools and resources to access your account in a secure environment. This way, the tax payment date will be corrected.

When you are in your reconciliation screen there is a filter (funnel) showing above all of your transactions. Next to that filter It should say "X - Statement ending date" If you click that "X" it will show you transactions that happened after your statement closing date and you should be able to select your tax payment as part of your reconciliation transactions.
