How do I know the date to which the ending cash balance pertains?

When reconciling transactions, it's best to refer to bank statements from the period you intend to reconcile, kogawa.

We can verify that the ending date and balance align precisely with the figures displayed on your bank statement, ensuring complete consistency and accuracy between your records and those provided by your financial institution.

Meanwhile, if you need to adjust the ending balance, you can do so by following these steps:

  1. Go to Reconcile section and hover to the reconciliation window, click Edit info.
  2. Edit the Ending Balance.
  3. Click Save.

For detailed guidance on addressing issues during the reconciliation process in QuickBooks, please refer to step 2 in this article: Check the ending balance you entered.
