How do I manually post a check that I wrote when using mobile app? I can’t find my bank register?

I can help you locate your bank register and how to record a check within the QuickBooks mobile app. It only takes just a few simple steps. Note: Before doing the steps below, make sure the mobile app is up to date with the latest version.

 

Recording a Check

  1. Open the QuickBooks app.
  2. From the "Home" screen, select the Three Horizontal Line (Menu) in the bottom right-hand corner.
  3. Under the word "Menu," slide over from Shortcuts to All.
  4. Scroll down until you see the Expenses portion and choose Expenses.
  5. Above the transaction date, press Check.
  6. Fill in all the information for this check and click Save in the top right-hand corner when done.

Finding the Bank Register

  1. Go back to the Menu (Three Horizontal Lines) page.
  2. Make sure the option is on All instead of Shortcuts.
  3. In the Transactions section, hit Categories.
  4. Find the Bank portion and then select which bank register you'd like to look through.
