How do I move 'In Quickbooks' Balance into my bank account?

Hi joses08,

We cannot transfer the In QuickBooks balance to the Bank Balance because they both come from two different sources. The first comes from your QuickBooks transactions while the second comes directly from your bank feeds.

Most of the time, the two balances will not match because there may be transactions that you have recorded in QuickBooks but are not cleared in your bank, such as checks. Or, there may be bank transactions that have not yet been recorded in QuickBooks.

Also, bank feeds only happen occasionally. It is usually updated every 10 PM PT, depending on the bank. Therefore, the bank balance you see may not be the actual bank balance at that moment. However, you can always click the Update button on the Banking page to get the latest feed from your financial institution.

If you want to find references about banking, just go to the main support page, select the QuickBooks Online product and go to the Banking tile.

If you have other questions in mind, feel free to go back to this thread.

Not sure if you knew what I meant, but I was talking about putting the quickbooks balance, that I’ve made by charging customers into my personal checking.

Thanks for your prompt reply, joses08.

If you're trying to transfer funds between accounts, you can use the Transfer feature by following these steps:

  1. Go to + New Transfer.
  2. From the Transfer Funds From drop-down list, select the bank account that the money is coming from.
  3. Choose the bank account that the money is going to from the Transfer Funds To drop-down menu,
  4. Enter the amount being transferred in the Transfer Amount field.
  5. Set the Date field and add a description of the transfer in the Memo field (optional).
  6. Hit Save and close or Save and new to complete the transfer.
