How do i rename the cash account to the name of my bank

I'll guide you in renaming your cash account in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

You'll need to edit the name of your cash account to the name of your bank by going to the list of accounts.

To do that:

1. Click on the Gear icon at the top.
2. Select on Bank Accounts.
3. Click the pencil icon beside your cash account.
4. Enter the name of your bank.

After that, you can now start categorizing your transactions under the new account name.

FALSE: You won’t find it at the suggested Bank Accounts. You will find it under Manage Accounts.

Hi QBSE,

I have a problem with renaming my bank accounts: after I log out and then I log back in, sometimes QBSE looses the names of the banks and sets them back to default - so I have to start over renaming them. It is frustrating, given that depending the bank or CC it just shows the last 4 digits. I want QBSE remember my renamed accounts once and for all!
