Join nowI would like to set the "Class" for many transactions all at once, including some expenses and some incoming revenue. What is the easiest way to do that?
I did a bit of digging on this and found reference to a "Reclassify Transactions" tool that may do the job, but I'm not sure because it looks like this is limited to accountants. I'm using Quickbooks Online in accountant view, but still can't find a similar tool for my use.
Solved! Go to Solution.
The bulk reclassify tool is only available to Accountant users (QBOA) and is not currently available as a tool for any other subscription level. Accountant View is not the same as a QBOA account viewing a client's books.
That being said, if you are comfortable with inviting yourself as an additional accountant user (if you have the room) do so with n alternate email and accept your invite to get your own QBOA
Utilize a 3rd party migration tool. Export your transactions data out, modify them, import them back into QBO.

Hope it helps.
Hi, johnmeese.
The Reclassify Transaction feature is only available in QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA).
You might want to create another account for QBOA using a different email to access this option. Or, invite your accountant to your company and let them reclassify your transactions.
Here's how:
Otherwise, you'll need to reclassify the transactions one at a time. To know more about this feature and other interesting accountant tools, see the following articles below:

Brilliant workaround! Thank you.
