How do I upload transactions to a non linked credit card account from a csv?

There are various guides how to do it but none match my user interface. For example some say to click upload transactions under 'Banking' but my banking sections does not contain any such things, it actually does not contain anything really useful (sign up for loans, how to sign up for credit report ...) My user interface seems to be entirely broken and unrelated to the plan I am using. While many important options are missing, I have a payroll option even though I did not subscribe to that service. Not sure what's going on,

Figured it out: Switch to 'Accountant view'. Make me wonder though why this isn't the default. Isn't this supposed to be accounting software?

I appreciate you for sharing your first concern in the Community, @tbaumeister-scin

I'm here to guide you on uploading your transactions manually in QuickBooks Online. First off, we'll need to create a new credit card account in your chart of accounts. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu, then select Chart of Accounts
  2. Select New to create a new account.
  3. In the Account Type dropdown, select Credit card.
  4. In the Detail Type dropdown, select the detail type that best fits the transactions you want to track. Learn more about detail types.
  5.  Give the account a name and then select Save and close.

Once done, follow the steps to upload your transactions outlined in the For account not connected to online banking section in this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online

Once done, match and categorize them so the transactions go into your accounts after you review them.

Let me know if you have additional concerns. I'll be right there to answer them all for you. Take care!
