How do you export/import from desktop enterprise to online when it doesnt exist

You’ll need to purchase or subscribe to QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise to access all features and its functionality. This way, you can convert your file to QuickBooks Online.

You can also look for a third-party app that can export and import your data. Our App Center offers a different tool that helps get this done. Otherwise, use the Apps menu to check the most recommended tool that fits your needs.

Here’s how:

1. From your left navigation pane, select Apps.
2. Enter exporter/importer in the field or click the Browse category.
3. Find the best one for you.
4. Click Get app now.

Make sure you have open a new QBO account prior to proceed

Then follow these steps on QB Desktop Enterprise:

Sign in as an admin to the company file you want to import.
On your keyboard, press Ctrl + 1 to open the Product Information window.
Press Ctrl + B + Q, then select OK.
On the export window, select Start your export.
Sign in as an admin to your QuickBooks Online company.
If you track inventory in QuickBooks Desktop:
Select Yes to bring them over, then specify the as of date.
Select No if you want to set up new items later in QuickBooks Online.
Note: Only QuickBooks Online Plus and Advanced can track inventory. Both plans use the FIFO method.
Select the Choose online company▼ dropdown, then select the QuickBooks Online company you want to be replaced by your company file.
Select Continue.
Enter “Agree” in the text field, then select Replace.
Select Yes, go ahead and replace the data, then select Replace.
