you can not, only desktop can do so

Allow me to join this thread and share some more insights about importing files in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

@Rustler is correct. You're unable to import IIF files in QBO. If you wish to import your files, you can use either CSV (Comma Separated Values) or XLS/XLSX.

Hi Doug,

 

I just wanted to expand on the answers you already have to your question.

 

Whilst it is not possible from inside QuickBooks Online to import an IIF file,  you can still do it with a QuickBooks addon App like Zed Axis that I publish.  It can take your IIF files that contain transactions or list and directly import those into QBO.  

 

I hope gives you more options.
