Hi there, m_bergman.
Welcome to the Community. I'd be glad to provide some information about multiple businesses in QuickBooks Online.
QuickBooks Online allows you to manage as many businesses as you need all in one space. All of the businesses will be available under one log in but each separate business does require an additional QBO subscription. Once you have the new company set up, you'll be able to switch from business to business by:
1. Clicking the Gear icon in the top right corner.
2. Select Switch Company.
3. A list of your businesses will appear and you can choose which one you'd like to continue working in.
This article offers additional info on setting up a new company: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Help-Articles/Create-or-add-another-QuickBooks-Online-compan....
Please feel free to comment below if you have any questions about this process or anything else in QuickBooks. I'll be here to help.
I use one log in for three separately owned businesses but I no longer work for one of them. How do I remove this one with out messing up the other two?
Greetings, @Remove a business from a log in.
When it comes to the task of handling multiple companies with QuickBooks, I want to help you do all you can to keep your lists organized and up-to-date. In order to remove a business from your log-in's list of companies, you'll need to be removed from that business's User List. First, you should verify whether or not you're that company's Master Admin. Here's how:
Verifying/Transferring the Master Admin Role
Check out our detailed guide on transferring the Master Admin role to learn more. Once it's transferred, you'll need any Admin user on the company to remove your access. To do this, have them follow the same set of instructions above; however, in Step 3, under the Action column, they'll select Delete and then Delete again to confirm. This information is also available from our guide on changing user access for your convenience.
Please don't hesitate to let me know if there's anything else I can do to help you succeed today. Thanks for reaching out, cheers to a productive week ahead!
