How should passport fee expnese be catagorized?

@jgoodson605  Depends a bit on what your industry is and quite a bit more on your personal tastes.

If it's only ever used for business trips, Travel Expense would do well enough.

How should passport fee expnese be catagorized?

Good day, @jgoodson605. Categorizing fees in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) should match a line on your Schedule C

With that, I  recommend contacting an accountant on or before categorizing to help you place the passport fee expense in the correct account.

I'll also add this article to further guide you in categorizing your transaction: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Moreover, tracking your healthcare insurance can be tricky. You can read this article to learn how QBSE handles it: Find out if your healthcare is deductible in QuickBooks Solopreneur and QuickBooks Self-Employed.

@Bryan_M  RE: Categorizing fees in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) should match a line on your Schedule C

Not really:

- Your implication is that the user's chart of accounts should match a tax form. However, there is no need - at all, ever - to record activity in your accounting system using accounts that match lines on a tax form.  That's just nonsense. Accounting and taxes are two different things.

- Also only sole proprietors use a Schedule C, so any references to that form do not apply to most businesses.
