I recognize the importance of transferring the chart of accounts from one company to another for you, @Tarakptl. Yes, we can run an account list report, and export it to an Excel file, and if needed, you can also download a sample spreadsheet for importing it into a different account.
To export a Chart of Accounts, generate an Account List report and then export it to an Excel file. Follow these steps to do so:
- Navigate to Reports.
- In the Find report by name field, enter Account List.
- Select Export Excel.
After exporting the report, you have the option to download a sample file in either Excel or CSV format. Then you can upload the spreadsheet to another company file you own.
Here's how:
- Navigate to the Gear icon.
- Under the Tools section, click on Import data.
- Select Chart of Accounts.
- Locate and select your file, and then click Open.
- Click Next.
