I'll take care of your query about deleting an account.
If you're referring to your QuickBooks Online company, you have the option to cancel your subscription. Our servers will keep your company file available for a year, and you'll have read-only access to it. If it gets past that and you haven't resubscribed, the company file will be deleted from our servers.
In case you're referring to accounts in your Chart of Accounts, there isn't an actual way to delete them. You can merge identical accounts, which will remove the 2nd account you selected during the process. It lists the default accounts in your Chart of Accounts, as well as accounts that you can merge into one another.
