How to record a bank fee reversal

Click + deposit and enter the reversal.  If it was a reversal of bank fees, enter the deposit to bank fees.

How to record a bank fee reversal

I tried your suggestion, but I can't find a way to enter the Bank.  The "list" for Accounts does not permit a bank to be placed on the list.  I cannot seem to add the bank to the Other fields.

How to record a bank fee reversal

Hi there, @mwy1205,

I’m here to help ensure you’re able to add a bank so you can enter the reversal.

QuickBooks Desktop allows the company admin to grant other users access to all areas or selected areas in the program. Since you’re not able to add a bank account, you’ll need to contact the company admin and confirm what your user access rights are.

Once done, add the bank by following the steps below:

1.    Click the Lists menu.
2.    Select Chart of Accounts.
3.    Right-click anywhere and select New.
4.    Click the Bank radio button.
5.    Click Continue.
6.    Enter the Account Name and other necessary fields.
7.    Click Save and Close.

Now you can enter the reversal by click the Banking menu and selecting Make Deposits.

Please stay in touch with me on what the results are. I’m here anytime you need help.
