How to update new credit card accounts with an existing Bank that is linked in QB

Currently have Chase Bank linked into QuickBooks - we have new credit card accounts that I would like to add to the existing link - but do not show up when I click on "manage connection"

How to update new credit card accounts with an existing Bank that is linked in QB

I appreciate you reaching out about your linked Chase account. I understand how challenging it can be when an account isn’t visible. One possible reason for this could be that the account was created under a slightly different name, which explains why you cannot see it. Let's work through this together to locate the account and ensure everything is properly linked in QuickBooks Online.

If you cannot see or identify an existing account, you can disconnect and reconnect to refresh the connection. After doing this, check again to see if it appears. If it still doesn’t show up, I recommend contacting your bank for clarification regarding why this account did not appear in QuickBooks Online.

You can follow these steps to disconnect:

  1. Go to Transactions, then Bank transactions.
  2. Select the tile for the bank account.
  3. Click the pencil icon, then select Edit account info.
  4. Hit the Disconnect this account on save checkbox.

You can also reach out to our QuickBooks Live Expert Assisted team. They can also provide guidance to properly navigate your bank transactions in QBO.

Once everything is set up, consider regularly categorizing your online bank transactions to streamline your financial tracking and enhance decision-making in your business.

If you’ve had a chance to contact the bank, we’d love to hear if you were able to locate the account. If you’re still having trouble, please don't hesitate to click the Reply button. We truly want to help and are dedicated to supporting you every step of the way.
