How / where do I download the Quickbooks app icon so I can pin it to my taskbar so I don't have to open a browser each time I want to log on?

I can share two options to make sure you're able to add a QuickBooks Online (QBO) shortcut icon on your desktop screen.

First, you can create a QBO web browser shortcut icon. The following steps will work for all browsers and operating systems (Windows or a Mac OS X).

Here's how:

1. Close or minimize any open windows until you can see the desktop screen.
2. Open your browser, sign in to QBO as you normally would. Then, shrink the window so that the Desktop can be seen behind it.
3. Go to the sign-in page: https://qbo.intuit.com/
4. On the URL address bar, you'll see either a QuickBooks icon, a Lock icon 🔒, or the ⓘ icon right beside the website address depending on the browser you're using.
5. Drag and drop it onto the desktop screen to create a shortcut.

Once done, you can now double-click the said desktop icon to open QBO in your default browser any time you need it.

The second option would be to download our QuickBooks Online Desktop App. This will allow you to access your account without logging in through the web browser. To do so, just scroll down to the Get the QuickBooks Mac or Windows App section, and then click the Free Download button.

After the download completes, the icon will appear on your taskbar when you're using the program. You can click it anytime you want to use the app to easily access your account.

To save time and make your task more efficient, you can create shortcuts for frequently-accessed websites. Also, I recommend using the keyboard shortcut keys to expedite your QBO navigation.
