I accidentally put an account on the dashboard quick start menu to the right of the screen. How do I remove it without deleting the account?

Removing the account from the QuickBooks Online Dashboard requires you to inactivate it. By doing so, the account will be hide from menus and on your chart of accounts while still keeping the records of past transactions on your reports.

Here are the instructions on how to make an account inactive:

1. Go to the Gear icon and select Chart of Accounts.
2. Find the account you want to delete.
3. Select the Action drop down and select Make inactive.
   

If you wish to see your inactive accounts, you can follow the steps below:

1. Go to the Gear icon and then Chart of accounts.
2. Select the Gear icon at the top of the list.
3. Check the box for Include inactive.

I do not want to delete or make the account inactive.  I just do not want it to show up in the right column of the dashboard page.

Rest assured, this isn't anything you did. When you create a bank account in your Chart of Accounts, QuickBooks Online automatically adds it to the Bank Accounts widget on your Dashboard. There isn't a way to remove it without making it inactive, but you can move it to the bottom of the list by following these quick steps:

1. In the widget on your Dashboard, click the Pencil icon.
2. Use the grids to the left and drag them up or down to re-order them.
