I am deleting a bank downloaded transaction from the register. After deleting, getting out of the account and returning, it comes back. How do I fix this?

You will need to delete bank downloaded transactions from your QBO Banking tab (left Banking dashboard > For Review tab), not from the Bank Register.

 

You'll need to exclude the banking transaction first from the "For Review" tab before you can delete it. From the Banking > For Review tab, select the transaction you're looking to exclude by placing a check mark right next to it. Click on the Batch actions button at the top left, and click "Exclude Selected" selection. The transaction will then move from the For Review tab to the "Excluded" tab. From here, you can delete the transactions by selecting Batch actions, and clicking "Delete".

I am deleting a bank downloaded transaction from the register. After deleting, getting out of the account and returning, it comes back. How do I fix this?

I have excluded and deleted transactions multiple times  (and my balances and reconciliations are done & accurate, so I do need these transactions deleted!),  however, every time my bank feed updates, these transactions come back to my review tab. 

How can I fix this permanently??  Are all of these transactions just going to stay there forever?  My acct is reconciled and good as of today- would it help to delete the bank and re-add it because you get to select the date it's going back to?

I hope you're having a fine day today. Good work on getting your balances and reconciliations accurate!

 

We currently have an investigation about the returning deleted bank transactions. Our engineers will roll out a fix as soon as possible. You can contact us so we can add you to the list of affected users.

 

To reach us: 

  1. Click the Help icon at the top right corner. 
  2. Hit the Contact Us button. 
  3. Enter "Deleted bank transactions keep returning to the For Review tab" in the box. 
  4. Click Let's talk
  5. Select Start messaging or Get a callback

You don't have to delete the bank and reconnect it again. You'll just want to leave the excluded transactions in the "Excluded" tab (without completely deleting them). 

 

You can also check out our Reports list while waiting for the resolution. I'm sure one of the reports can help you get a detailed view of your cash flows. 

 

When you're added to the list, keep on a look out from time to time for an email from our engineers for the fix.
