Buy nowHi there, @bsstruble. Let me explain why you're seeing this issue and guide you through the steps to resolve it.
Bank Error 185 occurs when your bank requires additional security verification, such as multi-factor authentication (MFA), answering security questions, or entering a one-time password (OTP) before QuickBooks can download transactions.
In some cases, the verification code provided may work when entered on your bank's website, but not in QuickBooks. This mismatch often happens due to syncing or timing issues between the two systems. Ensuring your bank information is fully synced with QuickBooks will help resolve the problem.
To resolve this, log in to your bank account from their website. Complete any pending security prompts, such as answering questions or entering a verification code, and then log out. Note that any changes made at the bank must also be updated in QuickBooks Online.
Once you've updated your bank details, follow these steps to ensure the information is synced in QuickBooks

After this, update your bank connection:
I recommend exploring QuickBooks Live Expert Assisted Service to make the most of QuickBooks' banking features. They provide personalized support to resolve syncing issues and ensure seamless transaction updates.
