I am reconciling bank account in QBO. There is a difference of $369.10. This difference is actually a portion of a deposit in the next month. This $369.10 deposit is combined with other deposits. Is there a way to separate the deposit?

Hello there, @inservkim,

Thanks for joining QuickBooks Community.

In order for you to separate the combined deposits, you need to select the payments you want to apart. However, if you’ve already recorded these payments into the program, you need to consider matching them to avoid the deposits combined into one entry.

Yes, there is an option to separate the combined deposit. When creating a bank deposit, you are able to check off as many payments and create another deposit to make a split. Check out the steps below to make this:

Here are the steps to split the deposit:

1. From the Accounting tab, click Chart of Accounts.
2. Find the associated bank for those deposits.
3. Click the deposit, select Edit.
4. Where it says Select the payments included in this deposit, check off each item that comprises this batch deposit.
5. Click Save and close.

To create a deposit for the payments you unselected above:

1. Click the Plus (+) icon and select *Bank Deposit*.
2. Select the payments.
3. Mark the unchecked the payments.
4. Click Save and close.
