I am suddenly missing all of my register transactions between 3/6/2025 and 12/331/2023. Any idea how to fix this?

There are several methods for locating and retrieving any missing transactions within QuickBooks Online (QBO), dfreemanod. To ensure you can successfully find these, I will provide you with an in-depth, step-by-step guide that covers all the necessary actions and troubleshooting tips you may need.

To begin, it's important to first check the filter settings and the date range in your system. This is because there might be an active filter or a specific date restriction applied, which could cause the transaction to be hidden.

Here's how:

  1. Navigate to the Transactions menu, then Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the account name and hit View register.
  3. If there are any filters active, you can remove them by clicking on Clear filter/View All.

To ensure the visibility of all entries, set the filter to the specific timeframe that aligns with the transactions you are searching for. This will help display the selected date range.

Next, you can check the Audit log to view any modifications made to your account. This will provide you with a detailed record of who made changes, what changes were made, and when they were made, helping you stay informed about the current status of your account. Please see the steps below.

  1. Hover over to the Gear icon and proceed to Audit log.
  2. Select Filter.
  3. Use the fields on the Filter panel to choose the appropriate UserDate, or Events filter to narrow the results.

For more information, you can check this article: Use the audit log in QuickBooks Online.

Also, if you still don't see the entries you expect to see, you can update the bank account to download them to QBO.

  1. Go to Transactions, then Bank transactions
  2. Pick the Bank account and then Update.

However, if they are still missing, you can manually upload them to QBO using a CSV file from your bank.
