Hey aflorest-synergy,
Thank you for connecting with the QuickBooks Community! I will be more than happy to assist you. If your bank is linked to your online banking account, you may unlink it from the Banking page. If not, go to the Chart of Accounts and deactivate from there. Here's how:
- Go to the Banking menu or Transactions menu and proceed to the Banking tab.
- Select the tile for the bank account, click the pencil icon (✎) and choose Edit account info.
- Click the Disconnect this account on save checkbox.
- Select Save and Close.
QuickBooks deletes transactions that need to be categorized in the For review tab once you disconnect it.
Refer to this article for more information about disconnecting accounts that are connected to online banking: Disconnect accounts connected to online banking in QuickBooks Online.
To remove it from the Chart of Accounts:
- Go to Gear icon (⚙) and select Chart of accounts.
- Find the bank account you want to remove.
- Click the Action dropdown and choose to Make inactive.
See this article for more information about making your account inactive to keep your chart of accounts simple and organized: Make an account inactive on your chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online.
