I am trying to reconcile a new account. The starting balance should be $0. I added another balance and cannot change

You've got me here to help with your reconciliation concerns, mannyaranda.

QuickBooks Online beginning balances usually get input automatically when you download transactions from your bank's website into the system. When you open the Begin Reconciliation and the opening balance is zero or incorrect, you can change it through the Register. Here's how:

1. Go to the Settings icon and select Chart of Accounts.
2. Locate the bank account, and then click View register.
3. Find the opening balance entry.
4. Click the Edit button and delete/modify the amount.
5. Select Save.
