Let me elaborate on some details of why you're having bank connectivity issues, Nicole.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) lets you connect multiple bank accounts. Once you connect to online banking, you'll have to know how your bank sends the downloaded transactions.

If the transactions download to one account, connect only the parent account. If the transactions download to the individual accounts, connect the subaccounts and not the parent account.

Also, please know that you can't connect both a parent account and its subaccounts. If you connect both of them, you'll get a message that the account is already connected. You can reach out to your bank to confirm on what account they allow for connection whether it's the parent or sub-account. If they allow both connections and you're still getting the issue, it's possible your bank is undergoing maintenance and server issues. You can double-check with them instead.

Additionally, I've included this resource to ensure that downloaded bank and credit card transactions are properly reviewed for future reference: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

We're always all ears if you have any other questions when connecting your bank. Keep in touch and we'll make sure everything is covered. Have a nice day!

Thank you for your reply. I was able to link the new credit card. Now there is a new problem. I have two Coti cards and it seems when I sync the new card it disconnects the other card. I am researching this and understand others are having the same issue. I have two different Citi cards and need both to be synced with my qb online. It is not a bank issue, nor a Citi issue, it is a qb issue. What’s the update on having this issue resolved. Thanks!

Let me chime into this thread, Nicole. I'll share insights into how QuickBooks Online (QBO) is linked to your bank account.

If your CITI Cards share the same login credentials, QuickBooks Online (QBO) will not be able to link to both accounts. It is important to confirm your login credentials with your bank.

However, if everything is set up correctly, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Technical Support team. Our support will be able to open and check your account securely, with your privacy as a top priority.
