I'm glad to have you here in the Community, @Ali38.

 

The following are the things that you need to check to make sure you're able to see the invoice or bill payments you've created in QuickBooks Online:

 

  • Doesn't have more than 21 days older/earlier from Banking transactions.
  • Both amounts from Banking matches (a quarter difference can cause the issue).
  • The bank account used is correct and the same from Banking.

Once done verifying it, you can now match these transactions in the For Review tab. I'll show you how:

 

  1. Go to the Banking menu in the left pane.
  2. Select the For Review tab then click a specific payment transaction.
  3. Choose to Find Match option. Then a pop-up window will appear and you'll have to check the matched transactions for this payment then hit Save once done.
  4. Click Add to confirm.

Thank you for your fast return.

I have been using online QBO for almost 4 years, but this issue recently started coming up.

Downloaded transaction is a lower amount than the payment I have created plus it includes a credit memo. Otherwise I can easily match the downloaded transactions with open invoices/bills since they are pointing same amount in the end. Since I can't apply a credit memo into a downloaded transaction, I will have to receive the payment manually first, then match with downloaded transaction. however the payment I have created with credit memo does not pop up on 'for review' section.

That is my issue.

You'll want to check and ensure the total payment created has the same amount from your downloaded transaction. Doing so will automatically find the transaction in the For Review tab. 

 

I'd recommend consulting with your accountant for further guidance. This way, we'll ensure the accuracy of your accounts after making these changes.
