I can't seem to find my bank in the search so how do I manually link my bank account?

Hi there, drake-mallardand.

Thank you for posting here in QuickBooks Community. Can you please provide the name of your bank that you want to link in QuickBooks account? I'd appreciate any further details so I can present accurate information.

There are a few possible reasons why you're unable to locate the bank in QuickBooks Online (QBO):

  • Your bank has multiple names on our list. Make sure you have selected the correct listing or have tried all possible links. Search by the banking sign-in URL to ensure you are using the correct listing.
  • Your bank does not connect to all types of accounts (for example, personal accounts vs business accounts).
  • Your bank is not a participating financial institution.

If you're unable to find your bank after confirming the required details above, I'd recommend trying other versions of your financial institution that are listed.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Banking menu at the left panel.
  2. Select Add account/Link account.
  3. Enter the name of your financial institution. When it appears, select it from the list.
  4. Continue to add the account to QuickBooks Online.

If you have tried all the options matching your bank's name and still can't connect, I suggest requesting support for your bank. Please follow the steps below.

  1. Go to the Banking menu.
  2. Select Add account.
  3. Search for the name of your financial institution. If QuickBooks is unable to find your bank, you will get the message, "Hmm, we can’t find [name of the bank you entered] in our list of supported banks," and you will be presented with helpful tips to try and locate your bank account.
  4. If you’re still unable to find your bank, select Request support for your bank.
  5. Enter your bank's web address (URL) in the field provided, then select Request.

In the meantime, you can manually upload the bank transactions into QuickBooks Online. You can click this article on how to perform the steps: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online. After that, transactions will add to your Online banking.

Please refer to this article to view steps on how you can review downloaded bank and credit card transactions by matching or adding them to avoid duplicate entries: Categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Please keep in touch with me here for all of your QBO needs. I'll always have your back. Thanks for coming to the Community and take care.
