Hi there, capefolks.
Can you tell us the name of the bank that you're trying to connect? Deleting a bank will also delete all categorized transaction that are attached to it. This is the reason why you're getting a warning when you tried to delete it. More details about this are discussed here: Delete Bank And Transaction Data In QuickBooks Self-Employed
A possible browser or cache issue might have caused the error even if the bank's website is working fine.
I'll share some steps that can resolve common banking issues in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Start by using an incognito/private browsing session just in case the same issue appears. Use these keyboard shortcuts to initiate an incognito browsing session:
- Ctrl + Shift + N for Google Chrome
- Ctrl + Shift + P for Firefox
- Control + Option +P if you're using Safari
- Ctrl + Shift + P for Microsoft Edge
You can also delete cache or use any of browsers that I've enumerated above. Once done, go back to QBSE and check if the connection is restored and if you can refresh the bank.
After reconnecting or refreshing the account, you can open this article and follow the steps on how to assign categories to them: Categorize Transactions In QuickBooks Self-Employed
Let me know if you still need more help with this.
