When transactions automatically show on your account register after you manually download them, you may have set up a bank rule in QuickBooks Online (QBO). With this, the system categorizes them accordingly.
Each time QuickBooks uses a rule, it puts your transactions in the Recognized section of the For review tab. Then, adds a Rule label to them. Let's go ahead and check first your bank rules through these steps:
- Go to the Banking menu.
- Select the Rules tab.
- Find the rule and under the Actions column, click the Edit option to pull up its details.
After that, let's go back to the For review tab to view all your recognized transactions. Here's how:
- Go to the Banking menu.
- Select the Banking tab.
- Choose the tile for the account you want to review.
- Go to the For review tab.
- Click the All transactions drop-down arrow, then select Recognized.
From there, you can review and categorize your transactions accordingly.
