Hello besty,

Thanks for the clarification. It seems you are using the Classic Mode Bank Feeds. The option to delete a single unmatched transaction if you are in the Classic Mode is currently unavailable.

Here's how to remove multiple downloaded transactions:

1. Click the Banking menu.
2. Go to Bank Feeds, then choose Bank Feeds Center.
3. Go to the Items Received From Financial Institution section.
4. Click the statement you want to delete.
5. Click the Delete button.
6. On the Delete Statement window that appears, Click Yes.

Please let me know how it goes. Thanks again.

Kristine:  well at least we now know why my options were different than  your options.  Unfortunately, I did what you instructed originally.  My assumption being, that when that download was gone, those unmatched items would not appear in my 'Match Transactions' window.  BUT, they still do.  I have been dealing with this for over a year now and might just have to deal with it.  It's frustrating there isn't another way to remove them because I have to scroll to my new feed at the bottom of the list and then I get an error message from QB's when I'm done saying that not all transactions have been matched.  Which I am well aware is the case.

Re: I downloaded transactions into bank feed that were old. How do I delete the unmatched transactions?

There are two different Bank Feed Modes: Express and Classic. See below.

Delete unmatched transactions in Express mode

  • Select the appropriate transaction and from the Action drop-down, select Ignore to remove a single transaction from the Transaction list window.
  • To remove multiple transactions at one time:User-added image
  • On the Transactions list window, put a checkmark on the box column to select all transactions.
  • Select the Batch Actions drop-down and choose Ignore.

Delete unmatched transactions in Classic (Register) mode

  • There is no option to delete a single unmatched transaction if you are in the Classic Mode, or using a Canadian version of QuickBooks.
  • To remove multiple transactions from a statement:User-added image
  • From the Bank Feeds, go to the Items Received From Financial Institution section.
  • Highlight the statement you want to delete.
  • Select the Delete button.
  • On the Delete Statement window that appears, select Yes.

I can't find Bank Feed in preferences. I'm having the same issue, where did you find those settings exactly? Thank you!

Re: Thank you- didn't realize that I could edit my bank feed...

Hello there, @NDHC.

In the Preferences, you can find the Bank Feeds section in the Checking menu. And I'd be happy to walk you through the steps.

  1. Go to the Edit menu.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. In the Preferences window, choose Checking from the left menu.
  4. Click the Company Preferences tab.

From there, you'll be able to see the Bank Feeds section which you have the option to select Express Mod or Classic Mode. I've attached a screenshot for your reference.
