Hello there, js23.

I'd like to provide insights on the process of transferring data from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

When moving data from QBDT to QBO, the Bank Rules that are created from QBDT are not being carried over to the online version.

With that being said, you'll need to manually set this up in QBO. I'd be happy to show you the steps to how to do it below:

  1. Click Banking on the left panel.
  2. Select the Rules tab.
  3. Click the New rule button on the upper right-hand corner.
  4. Enter the details of the rule.
  5. Click Save.

For the detailed steps and additional information about setting up banking rules, you can check out this article: Set up a new Bank Rules.

Also, you may need this article to know more about the import limitations when converting data from QBDT to QBO: What data doesn't convert from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online?.

Should you need help or questions aside from setting up banking rules, please don't hesitate to get back to me. It's always my pleasure to help.
