I have a credit card with two subaccounts and only one will connect in my transaction history so I can't categorize all my transactions.

This is a Chase Ink account. Both are subaccounts to the main account.

Hello there, @philip-allearthg. I'll share some insights about subaccounts in QuickBooks Online.

Connecting accounts to Online Banking depends on how your bank sends the downloaded transactions. To verify if you can connect the 2nd subaccount to QuickBooks, I recommend reaching out to your bank.

Also, you can run a report to see all of the transactions of the parent account and each subaccount.

Here's how to run a report for the parent account:

  1. From the left menu, go to Bookkeeping.
  2. Select Chart of accounts.
  3. Tick the checkbox for the parent account.
  4. Click Run Report from the upper right of the screen.

I'm adding this article that you can check to learn more about subaccount setup: About bank or credit card subaccount setup.

If you want to customize a report in QuickBooks Online, you can check this article for the detailed steps: Customize a report in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you have additional questions about the Chart of Accounts in QuickBooks Online. I'm always here to help.

I have two subaccounts I'm trying to add and not the parent account (I already struggled with that one).

One of the two subaccounts is showing up and the other has an error message "There's a problem with this account connection. We're having trouble getting your bank data. Please try again later. (355)

This has been going on for about 3 days. I tried disconnecting the account and reconnecting and that didn't work.

I appreciate you for getting back to us, philip-allearthg.

I'm here to share some information about the error message you get.

As of now, there's an open investigation concerning error 355 for the Chase account. That said, I'd suggest reaching out to our Phone Support team so they can add you as one of the affected users. You can contact them by clicking the ? Help icon.

I have a workaround, though. You can manually bring the transactions to QuickBooks. Before doing so, ensure that you have the correct file format.

Afterward, you can import the items. Let me guide you with these steps:

  1. From the Banking tab, select Banking.
  2. Select the blue tile for the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  3. Select Upload from file.
  4. Select Browse and then select the file you downloaded from your bank.
  5. Hit Next.
  6. Select the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then select Next.
  7. Match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Select the transactions you would like to import. Then select Next.
  10. Select Yes.
  11. Select Let's go.

From there, you can categorize and reconcile the transactions. I've added these references for the detailed steps of the process:

We appreciate your patience while we're working to resolve this issue the soonest. Keep me up if you need assistance in the categorization and reconciliation steps.
