I have a JE that is duplicated but it is not in the check register

Let's ensure that you've successfully saved the journal entry. We can review the Audit Log report to review the saved entries and check the journal date. Let me show you how: 

1. Go to the Gear icon and select Audit Log. 
2. From the Filter drop-down, select Show only these events. 
3. Click Transactions and then Apply. 
4. You'll see in the EVENT column that there's an added Journal Entry.
5. Click View to review the journal date and the account it was posted. 

When you reconcile the bank account, ensure that the ending date is within the journal date. To help you in reconciling an account, you can use this article: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
