I appreciate your efforts in migrating from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online, @paolo-messina-ta. I’m here to address your banking concern and share a workaround so you can quickly continue your business.

You’re right, QuickBooks automatically downloads banking data the first time you connect an account for the previous 90 days only. To import older transactions, we can use the CSV file format.

Here’s how:

  1. Click the Banking menu, choose banking
  2. Under Update drop-down arrow, and select File upload
  3. Tap the Browse to select a file to upload, press Open then next.
  4. Drop-down arrow select the Account type, or click the + Add new. Then press Next.
  5. Select a Datedate formatDescription, and AccountNote: You can choose 1 column or 2 columns.
  6. Press Next
  7. Onscreen message Select the transactions to import, hit Next
  8. Pop up message will appear transaction will be imported. Do you want to continue? Press Yes
  9. Hit Let's go

Once done, you're directed to the Banking menu or Transactions menu where your imported transactions are displayed on the For Review tab. You can review, add, or match each transaction

Also, For more details about how to manage your bank transactions, you can refer to this article: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online

If you still want to cancel your subscription, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top right.
  2. Select Account and Settings, then click on Billing and subscription at the left pane.
  3. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription or Cancel online.
  4. Click Continue to cancel, then select the Continue to cancel button (if it shows on your screen).
  5. Follow the next steps and click Submit and cancel subscriptionthen hit Got it.

I've also added a link here to guide you along the way: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription or trial. It also includes steps to cancel in case you bought your subscription from a mobile app store.

Please keep me posted on how things go after giving this a try. I'd be glad to help you out again. Stay safe.

@paolo-messina-ta

Another option, utilize MT Online as a workaround. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed.

i am looking into it but it does not connect with the bank of america it wants bank statements that is still very laborious , can it connect directly with bank of america and quickbooks and put the missing transactions on QuickBooks?

the point is that this seemsa loss of a feature which was so essential because basically you had peace of mind now you must remember to download every 90 days else you make a mess . this is supe rannoying not having the same features

especially when quickbooks is literally forcing people out of the desktop increasing price from $200 every to years to $700 per year.  I was happy with the desktop I am not clear why i have to pay 700% more to get a lot less service?
